01 · Why RoarTransfer
Everything a big file needs. Nothing it doesn’t.
Made by a film production house, for everyone who works with big files: videos, photos, designs, sound, presentations. Files too big for email and too important to lose on the way.
By email, or as a link
Type their emails and RoarTransfer sends it for you, with your title and message. Or just copy the link and share it anywhere.
Lock it with a password
Add a password and nothing shows, not even the file names, until it is typed in. We keep only a fingerprint of it, never the password itself.
Know when it lands
Get an email the moment someone downloads it. My transfers shows every link, how often it was opened and downloaded.
Original quality, real names
Nothing is compressed or converted. Files come down byte for byte, with their names exactly as you wrote them, Greek ones included.
Holds on to a bad connection
Files go up in 16 MB pieces, three at a time. A piece that fails is simply sent again, so a dropped connection costs seconds, not the whole upload.
Gone by itself
You pick 1 day or 3 days. When the time is up the link stops and the file is erased. Changed your mind? Delete it now, from My transfers.
No ads, no tracking

A RoarTransfer link is private: it is not listed anywhere, not searchable, and it ends by itself. Add a password and even the link alone is not enough.
Encrypted on the way
Every upload and download goes over HTTPS, straight between your browser and the storage.
Private by default
Download addresses are signed and last one hour. Nobody can browse or guess the files.
Erased, not archived
When a transfer ends, its files are deleted from storage. We don’t keep copies.
Kept clean
Limits without an account stop misuse, and every download page can report abuse to us.

Good to know.
Is RoarTransfer really free?
Yes. FastTransfer and the RoarTransfer account are free, with no ads. A paid Pro plan with bigger transfers and longer links is coming, for those who need more.
How big can a transfer be?
Up to 5 GB kept for 1 day, or up to 3 GB kept for 3 days, with a free account. Without an account, up to 1 GB for 24 hours, 3 transfers a day.
Does the person receiving it need an account?
No. They open the link, see who sent it, and download. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.
Are my files made smaller?
Never. RoarTransfer sends files exactly as they are, in their original quality and with their original names.
What if my connection drops?
Files go up in 16 MB pieces and a piece that fails is sent again by itself. Keep the page open until it says Uploaded.
Who can see my files?
Only people who have the link, and the password if you set one. We never open, watch or sell your files. Read the Privacy Policy for the details.
Can I delete a transfer before it ends?
Yes. In My transfers, press Delete: the link stops at once and the file is erased.
Will I know when it was downloaded?
Turn on “Email me when it is downloaded” and you get an email, at most one an hour per transfer. My transfers also counts every open and download.
